Evidence included two neck surgeries and a back surgery and over $100,000 in medical bills. $250,000 jury verdict plus pre-judgment interest and costs yielded total payout of $316,000.   • A finding of negligence and gross negligence in Essex County Superior Court (Lawrence, MA) against a city for its role in the death of a young man who committed suicide in the city lock-up, shortly after being arrested.
